The South West Corridor Development Foundation Incorporated (SWCDeF Inc.) is a not for profit incorporated association established by the South West Group in 1986.
About SWCDeF Inc.
The objectives of SWCDeF Inc. are to:
(a) facilitate and promote the development of the region and areas adjacent to the region;
(b) enhance and promote the region’ s attractiveness for industry and enterprise;
(c) enhance and promote the region’s lifestyle;
(d) enhance and promote the region’s natural attractions and
(e) enhance and promote the development of skills and expertise within and for the region.
SWCDeF Inc. is a member based organisation governed by its Constitution, which was last reviewed in 2016, and requiring the formation of a Management Committee to undertake the main role in the identification and coordination of activities and projects. Members of SWCDeF Inc. nominate for a position on the Management Committee each year, from which the following office bearer roles are selected:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
SWCDeF Inc. Management Committee meets a minimum of five times per year, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is usually undertaken in October each year and open to all members to attend.
The SWCDeF Inc. Management Committee oversees the finances associated with the organisation and commissions the preparation of an annual financial
statement each year.
